Budget Placements By Month

Here's How to Manage Fluid Budgets by Month in Bionic for Agencies.

Bionic can assist in managing placements with month-to-month budget adjustments and show alerts for potential overspending or underspending. This is designed to enhance ad spending efficiency and forecast upcoming expenses, helping advertisers stay within their preferred budget range. 

In this article we'll learn how to budget placements by month. To do so, we'll cover:

  1. Set the Rate Type
  2. Enter Monthly Rates

Set the Rate Type

NOTE: Managing fluid budgets by month only applies to placements. It does not work with packages.

To begin, we'll set the correct rate type to budget placements by month.

  1. In a media plan, for the Rate Type, select /month.
  2. Set your placement to Net pricing.

Enter Monthly Rates

Just past the Quantity section of the Media Plan, you will find a section labeled Net Media Cost by month. This section will have an evenly distributed cost breakdown of each month in your flight dates. You have the option to enter monthly rates for each month. Here's how: 

  1.  Click into the cost for the month you want to change and Type in your New Cost.
  2. Bionic will then ask if you want to flight this placement, Click the Yes, Flight this Placement button.
  3. You will now be able to enter different rate amounts, or even zero out a month of this placement all together.
