# Map Performance Data
## Here is how to map the performance data received from platforms to your Bionic placements in Bionic for Agencies.

As Bionic receives data from platforms, there needs to be "instructions" as to which placements to associate the data with. Bionic offers two options for mapping data.
In this article, we'll cover the two options for mapping data:

### Automate Data Mapping
Automating the mapping process is typically the best approach to avoid having to manually enter ID numbers. As data is sent to Bionic, it will include a Campaign/Placement Name as entered in the ad platform. Bionic can utilize this field to read the Bionic Placement ID if it has been included.
You can utilize Bionic's ability to generate [Naming Conventions](https://help.bionic-ads.com/knowledge/set-up-naming-conventions?hsLang=en) to ensure that the Placement Names include the Bionic ID.
Placement IDs are also displayed near the beginning of each Placement in Bionic.
1. When creating your campaigns/placements in the ad platform, include:
BA:\
2. Include the Campaign/Placement Name in the report sent over to Bionic.
When the performance data arrives, Bionic will automatically attach results to the applicable placement.
Bionic operates on a strict 1:1 placement model. Each placement in Bionic must directly correspond to a single placement or campaign in the source platform so performance data can be accurately mapped. This applies to all media types.
### Map Data Manually
In the scenario where ad platform data is already built out, or if you cannot otherwise include the **BA:\** in the campaign/placement name in the ad platform, you can manually map the data to the appropriate Bionic placement.
Data can be manually mapped from either the **Media Plan** or the **Performance Integration**. Mapping from the Media Plan allows you to update the integration ID for a specific placement, while mapping from the Performance Integration allows you to view and manage placement mappings for the integration from one location.

NOTE: Before mapping data manually, ensure the corresponding integration is set up for your campaign. See [Set Campaign Integrations](https://help.bionic-ads.com/knowledge/set-campaign-integrations?hsLang=en) for instructions.
#### Map Data from the Media Plan
1. Confirm that the integration is added to the Campaign.
2. Go to the **Media Plan** tab.
3. Find the appropriate **placement**.
4. In the Integrations section, find **the column** that corresponds with the appropriate integration.
5. Enter or paste the **Ad Platform campaign/Placement ID**.
When Bionic receives the data report, it will utilize this ID to apply the results to this placement.
#### Map Data from the Performance Integration
The Performance Integration provides a consolidated view of the placements associated with an integration. From here, you can manually map source data to existing Bionic placements by adding the corresponding **Source ID**.
1. Click on your **company name on the left side** of the black strip at the top of your screen.
2. Click the **Administration** link.
3. Click on the **Integrations** tab.
4. Find and open the appropriate **integration**.
5. Click **Placements**.
6. Find the appropriate Bionic placement.
7. Enter or paste the corresponding **Source ID**.
Once the Source ID has been added, the source data will be linked to the corresponding Bionic placement.
**NOTE**: Placements that exist in the source platform but have not been created in Bionic may also appear within the Performance Integration.
