Track Net Media Cost Actuals Based on Cost Method

Here's How to Track NMC Actuals Based on the Cost Method of the Placement in Bionic for Agencies.

The Net Media Cost "Actual" value will be established based on the cost (or rate) method defined for the placement. Depending on the the Cost/Rate Method defined in a placement, Bionic will either A) ingest the data from actuals sent from the platform or B) calculate the actuals based on a specific KPI result.

In this article, we'll cover how to:

  1. Upload Net Media Cost Actuals
  2. Calculate Net Media Cost Actuals

Upload Net Media Cost Actuals

Bionic will upload net media cost actuals when the Cost/Rate method is one of the following:

  • /day - Per Day
  • dCPM - dynamic CPM
  • Flat - Flat Rate for the Entire Line
  • Makegood - Added at No Charge as a Correction
  • /month - Per Month
  • Value Add - Included at No Charge
  • /week - Per Week
  • /4WK Period - 28-Day Cycle (e.g. Outdoor Billboard)

Calculate Net Media Cost Actuals

For any placement that is bought on a Cost Per n basis or Each, Bionic will automatically calculate the net media cost actual based on the KPI results of the corresponding rate method.

For example, if CPM, Bionic will use the impressions reported for that day to calculate against the CPM rate entered for the placement.
