Here is how to build ads and include them in your media plan in Bionic for Agencies.

Including Ads as part of your media plans can provide a holistic view of plan, manage performance at the placement level, and even help with trafficking to your ad server.

Ads can represent individual creatives or an ad rotation.

What Are Ads In Bionic?

Placement details like Program, Product, Dates, and Rates are crucial for effectively managing a media plan. However, it is equally important to consider the impact of the creative that fills the ad space. Understanding the connection between the ad creative and the placement brings together all the necessary components, providing valuable insights for decision-making to the creative team, media planners, and clients.

Bionic offers the capability to integrate your ads into your media plans. This feature allows you to easily track important ad details such as the Name, Ad Number, and Creative. Additionally, you can generate reports on key metrics like usage, spend, and performance for each ad.

Ads can also be utilized in Ad server exports, allowing you to seamlessly integrate with products like Campaign Manager 360 by listing Ad Server IDs in your Ads.

How Do Ads Work?

Working with Ads in Bionic is straightforward. Once an Ad is set up, it is automatically linked to the associated Advertiser and can be utilized within any campaign under that Advertiser.

Ads can be created from within an Advertiser, a specific Campaign, or even on-the-fly when developing your media plan.

As you build your plan, you will associate an Ad with each placement. The plan will showcase the actual creative.

You can then analyze that ad in Flowcharts and the Ads tab under the Advertiser or Campaign.

Create an Ad

When you create an ad in Bionic, it becomes easily accessible across all advertisers, allowing users to utilize it in any campaign. There are three convenient ways to create an ad within the platform.

Whether you prefer to create it within an advertiser, a specific campaign, or even on-the-fly while developing your media plan, Bionic offers flexibility to meet your needs.

This seamless integration ensures that your created ads are readily available for use and can be associated with the appropriate placements, providing a comprehensive overview of your media plan.

Review Your Ads

All of your created Ads will be visible in the Ads Tab, which serves as a centralized hub for managing and organizing your ads. This user-friendly interface allows you to easily find, review, and make changes to your ads with just a few clicks.

Within the Ads Tab, you'll have a comprehensive overview of all your ads, including important details such as the Name, Ad Number, and Creative. This makes it convenient to locate specific ads and track their performance.

The Ads Tab offers advanced search and filtering capabilities, enabling you to quickly narrow down your ad selection based on specific criteria. You can search for ads by name, ad number, or other metadata, making it effortless to locate the exact ad you need.

Configure Ad Settings

For each Ad, you have the flexibility to configure a wide range of Ad Settings in Bionic. 

Bionic provides various other options to configure your ads, such as ad format, creative specifications, tracking parameters, and more. These settings give you full control over how your ads are displayed, tracked, and optimized for maximum performance.

Set Ad Metadata

Setting Ad Metadata is an essential step in effectively managing your ads in Bionic. With this capability, you have the power to provide additional information and context to your ads, enhancing their organization and tracking.

Ad Metadata includes various details that help classify and categorize your ads. This can include information such as the target audience, campaign objectives, ad format, messaging themes, and any other relevant data that provides insights into the ad's purpose and strategy.

To set Ad Metadata in Bionic, you can specify these details within the ad settings. This ensures that all the necessary information is captured and associated with each ad, providing a comprehensive overview of your media plan.

Associate Ads with Placements

Once your Ads have been created, it is important to associate and connect them with their respective placements.

Associating ads with placements in Bionic is a seamless process. Once you have created an ad, you can easily link it to the specific placement where you want it to be displayed. This can be done within the Advertiser, Campaign, or directly within the media plan.

In Bionic, you have the flexibility to associate multiple ads with a single placement, allowing for A/B testing or rotation of different creatives. This enables you to experiment with different ad variations and determine which one performs best.
