Configure Microsoft Ads Report

Here's How to Get Data from Microsoft Ads into Bionic for Agencies.

Integration with Microsoft Ads will enable you to automate the delivery of your performance data into Bionic.

Refer to Learn About Integrating Your Performance Data for the complete list of steps to complete your integration set up.

For all integrations, you will first need to Define Your Integration.

In this help article, we'll cover the steps on how to configure your Microsoft Ads Report in your Microsoft Ads account for integration with Bionic:

  1. Notify Bionic Customer Support
  2. Add User to Microsoft Ads
  3. Set Up Microsoft Ads Report

Notify Bionic Customer Support

Bionic Customer Support will need to create an email address for your reports to be delivered to.

Here is what we need to get the process started:

  1. In Microsoft Ads, find your Account Number. This will be the account number for your company's instance of Microsoft Ads, not a specific Client number.
  2. Send the Account Number via email to support@bionic-ads.com or your CSM.
  3. Bionic Customer Support will complete the set up of the email address and notify you. The email address will in a format similar to:
    *******@marketing-performance-monitoring.com

Add User to Microsoft Ads

You are only able to email reports to users of Microsoft Ads, so you will need to set up a user for the email address we provided.

In Microsoft Ads:

  1. Add a user "Bionic Reports" using the email address you were provided.
  2. Notify Bionic Customer Support or your CSM that you have completed this process. While we will receive the invitation, we need to confirm it is from you.
From there we will complete the set up process they require to confirm this user.
  3. You will be notified once this process is complete.

Set Up Microsoft Ads Report

Once you have received confirmation that the process has been completed, you can set up and schedule the report that will be sent to Bionic.

  1. In Microsoft Ads, create a report.
  2. Name the report clearly, such as Bionic Daily Performance Results.
  3. Add the following fields (only include KPIs you want to carry into Bionic):
    • Date
    • Campaign ID
    • Campaign Name
    • Spend
    • Impressions
    • Clicks
    • Conversions
  4. Filter to Yesterday.
  5. Set Schedule to Daily at some time after midnight.
  6. Schedule to deliver to the email address provided by Bionic.
  7. Select .CSV as the format.

TIP: If you need to backfill data, you can send a one-time report that includes data from a date range that represents the time period you want to include.
